Planning to study in the United States is one of the largest decisions a family makes — and one of the least transparent. Brightway Educational Services hosted an exclusive U.S. University Admissions Event to make the process concrete: which universities to target, what they actually look for, what it costs, and where the funding comes from.
What the event covered
The session was built around the questions students and parents ask us most often:
- Choosing the right universities. How to build a realistic list across reach, match and safety schools rather than chasing rankings alone.
- Scholarships and funding. Merit awards, need-based aid, assistantships, and the deadlines that quietly decide whether you are eligible for any of them.
- Applications that hold up. Transcripts, standardised tests, recommendations and the personal statement — what a strong file looks like from the admissions side of the desk.
- Visas and arrival. The F-1 process, the financial evidence required, and what to prepare before the interview.
